I thought it was only Xmas mornings when Ghazaleh , my first princess, will force me out of bed.
She came in this morning to give me my 40th birthday gift but couldn't get me out of bed. Why? I haven't slept for weeks now because of the university studies.
But that's not the story I am going to tell you. I turned 40 today, scary ha?
I am a little bit scared what life is going to bring on me.
I have a lovely wife which has always been by my side in happiness and hardship (mainly the latter). I have to admit I was really lucky in my life to have her and that's maybe one of the great blessings of my life. Se is wise (except for marrying me), lovely, beautiful, and also a great mum for the kids and an awesome friend for me as well as a super professional cook, home maker etc.
we came to Australia 6 years ago and now she is working in a very well-known government corporate.
My first daughter, Ghazaleh, is going to high school next year and academically she has been really successful. She has won the gold award every year at the school and this week she was MC for the western Sydney art festival. She, like her mum, is a great cook and can already handle a family.
I AM SO PROUD OF HER. She will be a very successful person in the future and a lovely person. A chip off the old block ha??
My second daughter Melody is a great bundle of joy to have. She has given a new spirit to our life, she is beautiful, lovely also stubborn, smart and speaks English perfectly. She will go to primary school in 2 years time and I am confident she will be as great as her elder sister.
I LOVE MY WIFE.
I LOVE MY FAMILY.
I LOVE MY KIDS.

My fears
turning into 40 can be scary. your body starts to deteriorate, you start growing hair on your ears and nose and you cannot be active as you were before. your health will begin to fade and wrinkles will show up here and there ( I am more concerned about wrinkles there). Your mind will start getting into the standby mode (can I call is snooze mode for now?) In a nutshell, you are going down the hill and every year you gain speed.
My Hopes & Plans
I hope I will finish my university degree with good results, I hope I can get richer and healthier and can provide more for may family and care more for them. I WANT THE BEST FOR THEM.
I really want to study Philosophy, Logic, Psychology, Sociology as well as music but don't know if ever have time to.
I also hope I can translate more books because I love translation.
People around me
I have awesome friends that I respect a lot and love. I have excellent close friends, ex-colleagues, friends that I came to know in Australia and also virtual friends on Facebook etc.
My family is OK and (lets forget because I expect a lot more from them but this never happens).
My past
I have done a lot in my life, seen many countries, read a lot and experienced a lot. Coming from a small family in the south of Tehran, I have to pat myself on the shoulder because I believe I have achieved a lot. Sometimes I think if I was born in a different family, I could have achieved a lot more but I am not sure.
I could have been a great musician or even a writer (really???!!) or a journalist and so forth. who knows? But so far so good putting all pieces together. I could have ended up a lonely junkie on the street.
WHERE I AM RIHGT NOW IS NOT BAD AT ALL.
My future
hopefully will have a lot more fun and will be a lot more relaxed.
It will have lots of adventures and a lot more reading.
Lets see what destiny will bring us.
I might publish a music album, buy a flash car or even a house in a forest with stone walls, hardwood furniture and tall glass windows with a massive swimming pool and a beautiful entertaining area with a pool table, a ping pong table and a tennis court.
The 2nd floor would obviously have an attic which will be my study (no Rosie you can't take this one no matter how much I love you), a theatre and a get together place.
I almost forgot to say I want a big shed with lots of woodworking tools so I can make my own furniture.
I also want a couple of horses, sheep and dogs to run around the house (gee the list is getting bigger).
UNTIL THEN, I will enjoy my life.
P.S. Rosie and Ghazaleh have been organising my birthday party for days. I can't thank them enough.
Thanks Baby. I love you
